In the spring of 2014 Coach David Jacque, then a volunteer with Miami Dade Parks track program, decided to form a private track club. On November 14th, 2014 several interested parents met to officially launch Goulds Wildcats. Goulds Wildcats performed outstanding under Coach Jacque leadership and had a very successful 2015 track season. The team, under eight athletes, attended Primaries Championship in Orlando and four of the five athletes who participated medaled in their events. At the Regional Qualifier Track Meet all seventeen members of the team qualified for AAU Junior Olympics, in Norfolk Virginia. Of the nine athletes who attended, two earned All American in five events. One finished in the top twelve overall in her event and all ended the season with personal best times.
September 2015 Coach Jacque started Goulds Panthers Track Club at Goulds Park and December 2019 Goulds Panthers started a second training site at Gwen Cherry Park. Our mission are to teach and train youths to become their best through training, discipline and faith. The vision of Goulds Panthers Track Club are to provide a pathway to higher education through athletic scholarship opportunities, leadership and sportsmanship training, encourage academic excellencies, and cultural and spiritual awareness for our athletes.
